Although classes that use standard workbooks and computer programs may help, it is the personal attention combined with a well-thought-out program that will greatly improve a student’s testing ability. High School

Greenberg Educational Group’s academic writing curriculum teaches students the fundamentals of advanced writing, from the blank page to the polished product. Tutors work one-on-one with students to develop the foundational skills most valued in the humanities and social sciences, with a special focus on the literary interpretation and historical analysis key to academic success in advanced, interdisciplinary high school courses as well as college.

Tutors will lead students through exercises in analytical reading, thesis, and structural development, effective use of evidence, elements of style, and revision. Creative writing coaching is also available. Reading and writing exercises are tailored to each student’s interests, drawing from students’ course and summer reading lists as well as the Bedford Reader, 15th Edition, a leading textbook in college rhetoric courses. Other sample readings include fiction by George Saunders and Jhumpa Lahiri, personal essays by Ta-Nehisi Coates and David Sedaris, poetry by Maya Angelou and Walt Whitman, and social science analysis by Brent Staples and Anna Quindlen.

Greenberg Educational Group’s college writing curriculum teaches students the fundamentals of advanced academic writing, from the blank page to the polished product. 

Tutors work one-on-one with students to develop the foundational skills most valued by professors in analytical reading, thesis, and structural development, effective use of evidence, elements of style, and revision. Advanced creative writing coaching is also available.
